One of the many pleasures in men’s fashion in my opinion has to be sportswear. I just love when a specific piece is meshed with high quality elements that showcases character, individuality, comfort, & full of aesthetics. With that being said, you should know designer collaborations with known sportswear brands is a big thing for me. Through this posting I’ll show you some of my favorite upcoming high fashion sportswear and some neat collaborations that should be available soon!
Inspired by the athletic realms of baseball and Taekwondo, The Adidas Originals by Opening Ceremony 2014 spring/summer collection will be available this February.
Alexander McQueen Pre-Spring/Summer 2014 is available now. McQueen also offers a new campaign film, directed by Steven Klein and starring Kate Moss. The dystopian future-themed short tells a cryptic story while offering a few glimpses of some of the items in the collection. Check it out on www.alexandermcqueen.com
I absolutely am in love with KRISVANASSCHE black croc pattern low sneakers. Priced at $700 good ones or (coins as I like to say) it’s well worth your investment. The shoes boast a custom black crocodile pattern leather upper contrasted by a white ankle closure, outsole and white laces. Finishing touches include a zigzag tread on the outsole and a simple logo patch on the tongue. These are available for purchase now!
Givenchy one of the top fashion brands that’s been taking charge lately comes with a luxurious diverse range of footwear for 2014. The sneakers that caught my eye were these: The Tyson high tops! (I already have a nickname for them “The Mike Tysons”) featured in all-black, all-white, and black and white color ways, all of which sport premium leather uppers and linings. These are sure to please.
Nike Kobe Bryant 9’s FlyKnit. Not only is Kobe my 2nd favorite athlete of all time, these kicks are one of my favorites as well. Check him out rocking them with recording artist Nicki Minaj for the cover of ESPN Magazine. The shoe incorporates three new systems (Flyknit, Flywire and Lunarlon) into his eponymous shoe line and includes a novel carbon-fiber heel counterbalance that works with a fresh rubber outsole for maximum strength and responsiveness. Kobe’s latest sneaker is so high that it looks a little like a boxing shoe. These are very reminiscent to one of my favorite Dior Homme sneaks I own; the B50 designed by Hedi Slimane. These wonderful b-ballers will be available February 2014.
