True Colors: ANNAKIKI Autumn/Winter 2016 Campaign

Women, Campaigns

No matter what you have to say, make it a statement. A declaration, a bold and proud assertion. Anna Yang’s simple mantra, “Be Yourself,” comes through with clarity and ferocity. Whether it’s a personal life motto, brand philosophy or both, ANNAKIKI’s Autumn/Winter 2016 campaign delivers it brilliantly.

Seussian color and pattern ran rampant and free across all sorts of fantastic winter garb. The colorblocked moto jacket played well with frayed denim and shiny red boots — all very trailer-chic. And the floor-length coat felt royal and cape-like when paired with the vermilion leather pant. With massive, oversized coats clearly the takeaway from the ANNAKIKI collection, it’s amazing to see the handful of iterations featured in the campaign: a Kelly green reptilian number, one that was akin to a tasseled throw and the splendor that was done in high-pile Sherpa polka-dots. Though never taking itself too seriously, Yang’s collection is no joke either. Whimsically fashion-forward, an ANNAKIKI coat is definitely going to be on many a wishlist this holiday season.
