The world, and be it, this collection, is Ximon Lee’s oyster. At just 25 years old with a prestigious H&M Design Award under his belt, Lee stepped up to bat for his Fall/Winter 2017 collection with a collection that shot for the stars. Quite literally, actually – the U.S. bred designer chosen the most luscious of fabrics and finishings for a collection that doted on his exaggerated silhouettes and fabric development. Pearls were a mainstay – not just in passing on hems or buttons, but splattered like a constellation over chestpieces and tunics. Floor-skimming trench coats with oversized lapels took the center stage of the collection, finished both in pristine patent and, for the final look, a fluid kaleidoscope pattern bursting with color that Lee dreamed up himself.
