It was a sickly sweet affair that Molly Goddard threw for her Fall/Winter 2017 show at London Fashion Week. The entire collection was inked with fond memories of Goddard’s childhood tea parties. Glimpses of glitter, myriads of tulle, and a plethora of ruffles dotted the array of hyper-feminine frocks. Ballerina frocks were painted in bold hues, multi-tiered gown in shimmering metallics, and youthful nightgowns finished off Goddard’s tea party day dream. The piece de resistance – a cake-topper tiered cotton puff of a dress, in a stunning azule hue. It was a sugary sentiment no doubt, but one that had everyone in the room dreaming of their own fairytale spectacle.
