At a glance, one of the glaring appeals of the QASIMI Spring/Summer 2018 collection is its choice of color. Unbelievably rich and warm, we saw sage, marigold, pumpkin and vermilion as the collection’s initial draw. Presenting at London Fashion Week Men’s, further inspection boasted cool Middle Eastern touches by designer Khalid Al’Qasimi (see the seersucker tunic for example). Ruched raglan constructions were a common trope, as were a dizzying number of cargo pockets on field jackets and trousers. Moroccan striped shirting and the tailored denim jacket in chocolate brown provided structure to the loose silhouettes of the oversized anoraks. In short a fantastic collection, QASIMI has certainly come a long way since its debut.
