For a collection rooted heavily in basics (rain slickers! button-ups! trouser shorts!) there was something a little upside-down about his Spring/Summer 2018 offerings at New York Fashion Week: Mens. Pared-down basics were finished with almost bauhausian colorblocking and isolated shapes, all finished in pigment-heavy colors. Suits had just as much pomp, like bold blue and stark salmon, paired with equally as bold-speaking shirts. Workman’s utility suits, in a blue-collar shade of taupe, had a lightening of dark navy, all in geometric crispness. A collection that was rooted in normalcy, but still had an underlying draw to the topsy turvy.
